Cafe au Lait x 3!

This was the beginning of an exhilarating visit
to Conrad's Beach.

Someone's very happy to be going to the beach!
(that would be Jim, of course!
He hasn't been to this beach for a few months
but a hop, skip and jump
just makes....missing the beach....seem so very far away.

Oh Hi!
I remember you from a couple of years ago
when your cuties were very, very, young and were completely chocolate.

Now they ALL
look like cafe au laits.
I must say Moose, Holly and Cammy
make me very thirsty
and in need of a caffeine fix....just sayin' !

The cool thing about all this is...
We are ALL Doodles!
My friends are Australian Doodles...how exotic 'pour moi'!

We love chasing Mr. Orangie
and
we love to Doodle Dance!

Tag, I'm it!
Again!

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect encounter.
See how we are all so HAPPY....
just full of Doodle Fun!

This shows you how different looking we are on the outside...
but it's what's on the inside that counts
because we all act the same.
Doodles are always ready for fun and people nuzzling.

And it's pretty obvious Daddy Ron
feels a kinship
or
maybe he thinks he's a Doodle!

Fro'lick Time

The beautiful calm before the storm
(or romp in my case)!

As we reach the crest of the hill
my magic sniffer picks up on a familiar,
yet unfamiliar scent.

I know I look a little blurry in this photo,
but look what's in the tree on the left.
We didn't even notice it there,
until we started going through these pics.
(Remembrance Day Poppies don't grown on trees do they?)

Finally we reached the soccer field
and there was this white Portuguese Water Dog.
Who knew they came in pure white.

We had a blast fro'licking and playing.

Speed demons...as we teased each other up and down the field.

A tag-along tried to keep up but to no avail.

We just had some plain good ol' fun like dogs do...!
What's with the 'talky' humans anyway?
Don't they even notice how much fun we are having!?

Remembrance......

~~~For 11/11/12~~~
Every year at this time my Dad, Ron
takes some time to remember his Dad, Gordon
who was a flying ace in WWII.
The cruelty of war prevented Ron from getting to know
his father because while in training for the Korean War in 1952
his plane 'flamed out' and crashed
leaving the family fatherless.
Many stories were told to help keep his memory alive,
with many picture albums showing the countries he visited
and the successes he had while there.
But I think the best memory of all
is this picture above
of Ron's Mom and Dad dancing.
Can you see why?
If you are interested in WWII facts
click here
and you'll see the history
of Gordon Troke's war years.
So as we trekked along our favourite path at Point Pleasant Park recently,
you can see the monument and Canadian flag erected
(in this case to the naval war heroes).
Memories are but a split moment away in our world
because we are a naval and air force city.
While even in our own backyard this oriental poppy from the summer
reminds us of the poppies of Flanders Fields.
May this find you and yours with
Peace and Love!
Aliens...I tell you!
This soft, brown, salty carpet of seaweed appeared on the shore
after Super Storm Sandy passed by...
and yes I am standing in the middle of it.
This camouflage moment is truly uncanny,
see how
I match the colours on the beach....
and behind me the surfers took full advantage of Sandy...
I guess the perfect waves were the attraction.
But here is the gist of my story today...
I found a 3-legged creature's footprints
made of stone or perhaps they turned to stone.
I'm outta here...just plain creepy.
I ended up on MacDonald Hill and
this is what I saw below....
a lone paddle surfer either learning the ropes or an introvert...
and a doggy and owner watching the tide
coming in around them...
*watch out*
 super wet ain't half of what's going to happen to you!
But folks,
my mind keeps trailing back to the boardwalk..
~~~I tell you~~~
Aliens have landed
and
we better head for the hills!

Here Kitty Kitty!

Every once in awhile my Dads say the 'Kitty Kitty' words.
I know I've caught them spelling the five letter word
and I know they think I'm just a dumb dog.

Hah....I say!
Sometime
they are going to be glad that I
 "took care of"
the kitty kitty situation.
The thing is no kitty in their right mind
would bother visiting out yard.
I'm a hawk-eye...
always surveying and sniffing for the felines.

Daddy Ron just couldn't resist,
you'll see in the video.

Such is my existence on this Lonely Planet of Kittiless Love!

Hey...idea!
Maybe if I sit still as a statue,
those sneaky kitty kitties
won't know I'm here...
no harm in trying!

Private moment with Mrs. Enid!

The other day while strolling through the blueberry bushes at the park....

and after I gave a quick gnaw on a stick

we ran into Mrs. Enid, the character on

She'll tell it like it is without any hesitation,
even if it isn't politically correct.

(click this link for another laugh )
because she won't let the Prime Minister off easy either.

But the coolest part of the whole rencontre, for me,
was that her doggy is a Doodle.

Bella and her owner, Cathy Jones, aka Mrs. Enid.
That is what is so cool about living in Halifax...
go to the park and run into a Canadian celeb
and sweet talk her doggy style, lol!
