Look Up...Look Way Up!

(Sophie in Wonderland cont'd)

While still reeling with fun,
I took one split second to peruse my surroundings.
Got to keep vigilant with your territory
because you never know
who may sneak up and steal your ball.

I looked high in the air and saw these lines
or what exactly are these?

 Oh I see the humans are flying their kites again!

These are major kites...hold it...
these are kite surfers making their first visit
to the beach.

Giant butterflies...that what I sees!

These peeps really need lots of strong "musk"les
to be able to do this...so lucky they are!

 So with all this aerial display and
digging holes...
it's time to wash my new blue whistle ball and
cool off.....!

Sophie in Wonderland!

 "Excited" is putting it mildly....!

Ron took me to Stony Beach today
which is between Conrad's Beach and Lawrencetown Beach.
This was a perfect day to try out my new blue whistle ball.
The sand is very soft here,
so nose dives are par for the course....

and digging holes triggers my need and desire
to reach the other side of nowhere!

Mmmmm....my tongue seems to get in the way,
when I dive into my "rabbit hole"....
Do you think Alice would allow me in her world!?

Squeeky Chicken & Marshall

If and only if you have 4 minutes to spare....
I would like to show you Marshall.

He is 2 years old and really likes to play.
We romped and chased each other on the soccer field
at Fort Needham
in the north end of Halifax.

Only thing is... the field is starting to thaw
from the winter freezing.
Now should that bother us...
I think not!

During our chase while I have Marshall's Squeeky Chicken
and he has my new blue ball,
the chimes sound for 12 noon.

This would have been OK,
it's just that it's 1 o'clock and the powers that be
hadn't changed the time from
the recent time change.

Oh well...come on Marshall
let's go get a drink!
I have worked up a thirst....You?

Sweet Softness!

 I see you!
I really do!
I hope you enjoy my peaceful world
as the snowflakes accumulate.

 Softness seems to be so appropriate at this time.
Everything feels like cotton,
like a tiny ball of cotton batten!

Happy Hump Day!

This is too funny!
We saw this on the waterfront as we drove
through on our way to the park for a walk recently.
~~~
I was told that under no circumstances was I to hump anything today.
I respectfully obeyed.
~~~
So when we got home and after a good slurp of water,
I thanked Jim for taking me.

A Radiant Day

 The wind caught me as I slipped over the grassy dune...

 Heading down the other side I angled myself away from the force of the wind....

 Now I can zero in on something more my speed...possible edibles!

 Oh Hi again...I thought I felt you looking at me...!

 I can't thank you enough for the kindness and support you
sent our way this passed weekend.
I know everyone has a difficult curve to follow some times

 I try to help my guys by getting them to take me out for a walk or a run....!

 I truly think it works wonders for the mind, body and soul!

Just as much as this view at the other end of the beach does for me.
~~~
I can feel the freshness and revitalizing sounds
just like I did when I was there.
I always feel it's important to show you
what I experience because if it makes
me feel so very good...
Well.....I know it should hopefully
make you feel the same.
~~~
Peace and Thanks

Hemlock Trail Revisited~~~

After driving for an hour and visiting my Granny's grave site today,
a much needed nature walk at the canal was at the top of the list.

 You may remember my post last October about

You can have a look-see at the link from Dec '11
when we watched the canal and brook in the early winter!

The babbling brook really set the mood and tone burbling ever so gently
over and around the rocks, sticks and mosses.

There is something so serene about this area of the trail walk.
We always seem to stall along this section...
I really think the coolness, freshness and sounds
of the brook, winds in the canopy above and the sounds of robins(this time)
immediately want you to stop...to reflect, and to relax.

Oh Hi...hope you are enjoying
my journey today
and maybe you can feel
what I'm feeling...just a little maybe?! winky wink

To sniff the forest floor just gives me
heart palpitations...good ones of course.

See the spruce cone I'm sniffing?
Well, it has a delicious smell...outdoorsy, spicy and a bit yummy...
don't worry I wouldn't eat it,
but if I find something more to my liking
well...down it will go!

These glades near the brook are covered in needles and moss.
I truly recommend a jaunt here
or some place close to you...
because every time I soak it up
I feel so calm and relaxed and
that's a lot to expect from an exuberant Labradoodle
