I'M SORE, BUT I'M A TROOPER

It's 4 days since my surgery 

and the guys figured I needed to get out.

Shack Wacky!

Well that's an understatement.

So I fell into line 

between the guys

as I always do,

but this time I was tethered to my leash

in case I had any great ideas 

like running away 

to scratch my behind all over the ground!

Jim even holds my poop bag

what a cool Daddio he is.

But I figured I should show you 

what all this fuss is about.

You can see undissolvable stitches all around my vulva, right!?

Hang in with me OK!

Well, this is where a large piece of fat was growing

and covering up my vulva 

causing a rash etc.

Now I'm a normal Doodle doggy.

Yes, it's sore but as the title says

"I'M A TROOPER"

Forward Ho!

Now I think it's time to head back to the car

and get home before sundown.

but just imagine I have to feel them!

GREY SKIES REVEAL BLUE SKIES

4 months of realization came screeching to a halt
this passed Thursday when my Dads and I dealt with my surgery
and as my new vet called it a
"WINKY TUCK"
(no wonder we have a new vet
he's a laugh a minute)

Flying solo
by myself for the day

I survived
and having the security of 2 Dads

really helps me with my healing

We go everywhere together around here

as you know

but burying Mr. Orangie
and
digging him up
is high
oh so high
on my agenda.
Can't you tell?!

for all the special get "better vibes" from all around the globe.
Some people don't think this cyber-love is true
but I for one know it is.
Imagine people thinking like that!

SURGERY DAY!!

I'm spending the next few hours at the vet today.

While these folks cruise back and forth over the channel ~~

while these two soar far away to the west ~~

while all these peeps take on their first day of surfing ~~

I wait patiently

so I can come home

a new girl

a new healthy girl

and

ready to see all these places above

with a smile on my face

and

a doodle nudge with my guys!

The guys got me 

GOOD 

this morning on the beach 

after Hurricane Arthur

settled down.

They think they are so funny!

Do you know the ol' SANDWICH joke?

Now I do!!

I fixed them good though

and 

slobbered my 

DROOL 

all over them.

HURRICANE ARTHUR'S WINDS

Patience is a virtue!

How many times have I heard this being said to me 

as I sit 

DOODLE PATIENTLY ~~

waiting for a chance to romp in this field 

just like these peeps

in the middle of Hurricane Arthur.

even through the windows 

at Daddy Jim's retro shop

you could FEEL the power of the wind

Finally I made it to the slopes

and up the trail to the middle field

wondering if Mr. Orangie

was coming out to play

Not today 

I guess

too much wind

the velocity was ear splitting

with that realization I decided that I should quickly fill up on salad greens

before I blew away

Gees, where is Jim?

This fellow isn't Jim

and those ladies aren't either.

 I know exactly where he is hiding,

inside MacDonald House

playing with his retro goodies

getting them ready

for the hordes of peeps

that are coming this way to see

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JIM

My Daddy Jim will do anything for me

not to mention anything for anyone else

he doesn't / has never put himself first,

I can attest to that.

He'll pose to let Ron take pictures of him through a wonky, wet car wind shield

even if distortion is running rampant.

He especially loves his new adventure selling his retro 50's & 60's kitchen ware.

Doesn't the smile tell it all!

He loves taking me to the park and venturing down a new trail

with scads of people running and walking by.

 He loves taking me to see his Pops

at the veteran's hospital

mainly because he knows I get fed

so much!

He'll jump into the moment for fun,

nothing holds him back

because life is way too short 

for anything else.

Birthdays are meant to be off beat / colourful / side splitting laughter

topped with confetti.

So lighten up lady,

your birthday will be coming soon.

BUT today is my Daddy Jim's Birthday

and 

I'm going to be snuggling close

'cause he really deserves it!

(Gees, that lady scares me!)

CANADA DAY ~~ YAY ~~ EH!!!

Ambling through the mammoth field of bowing verdant grasses

surrounding me completely in meadow sweetness with that tickling feeling

every time I dip my nose into the clumps of jade green looking for my tender salad sprouts

I lift my head to sniff and hear far off in the distance humans slicing through the waters below

freedom

with a splash of seaweed

like butterflies on the wind they are

the winds have kept their strength sufficient for these folks

so I will retrace my steps back up the hill

with one last glance into the distance

and plunk myself down
on this beautiful day.
