Whispering Sweet Nuthin's

Life can only be described as a moment to moment potpourri
of  ups and downs.
While lounging on the lawn in the
of Halifax....
my patience and calmness
seems to be eclipsed
by 'sparklees'
....something has come over
us here.
Re-assurance is drifting slowly
into my psyche from Daddy Ron.
"Do you see them Sophie"?
"Do you feel them"?

 Everything is going to be all right.
Even the magic is over there near
Daddy Jimbo.
Maybe it's him.
Is that possible?
I know he has special powers,
but this is ridiculous!
Or is it?
See I told you all would be fine,
if you believe that it will.
Thanks Daddy Jimbo
for being here, there
and
everywhere.

Mercury Retrograde....

 July 14 - August 8
the period of Mercury Retrograde
when everything seems to become jumbled, mixed up, confused,
blurry, 'you said what', bizarre situations.....I could go on!

 I sense an unevenness in my gait,
the ground seems to be tilting
 yet strangely beautiful....

 I know I can put my mind to it
and re-think things,
find a new perspective
or even refresh one of my long standing beliefs...

 I must take things with a grain of salt
because if I feel this way, then I highly suspect others do too.

That ol' Mercury is a tricky dicky...
 I managed to survive the pokes and  nudges
helping my guys through
a period of personal upheaval.

The next time you'll see this craziness will be
Nov 6 - Nov 15th
be forewarned.....!

In the Fog....!

Thank you
~~~so much~~~
to all of you,
for your kind comments
regarding Daddy Jim's
Walking in the fog
symbolizes his struggle
over the last few years
with this condition.
Everyone experiences
different symptoms,
some easing over time,
if not immediately,
while others endure
ongoing symptoms that
halt you in your place
or trip you figuratively.
EMPATHY
is all that one needs to offer...
~~~take the time to learn
and comprehend what
concussions are all about
~~~changes in education
very recently have brought
this condition to the forefront
~~~respect the sufferer's need for healing
and don't forget them
~~~lend a healing hand
and
a supportive voice
I do my best everyday
with snuggles
"doodle snuggles"
 you know
are very healing!
Pink on the Horizon
 It's truly amazing how Mother Nature's gift of light....
 allows me to espy Mr. O in a sea of blue
 floating aimlessly with the current...
 as I submarine my way slowly and deftly into position....
 Noticing the brightly coloured sails on the horizon...
 can't distract me from my goal...
 snatch and turn
 the gorgeous pink sail looms precariously on the rocks...
 It would seem to be
 melting like butter and disappearing around the corner.
 My success  is always acknowledged by my guys
 as I pull myself from the water.
 Today...the sails appear to be ethereal, gossamer and transparent
 for the angle of the light illuminates the sailcloth....
 as we round the bend in the road at Point pleasant Park
where I meet Jim sauntering and catching up to us,
after a successful photo shoot nearby.
Concussion
 Once in awhile
I need to take a moment
and count my lucky stars....
I tear around plenty
knocking into things
that seem to bounce off me....
without any concern for others.
I so excitedly `doodle` dance with many friends
and
realize that sometimes
I`m just too exuberant.
 My head is as hard as rock
and to connect with anyone can be hurtful.
You see people`s heads are very similar
but larger therefore more chance of problems internally.
 Sometimes this is what they see after hurting their noggins...
just a pencil sketch of reality....
with very little form, colour, and depth
Bright lights can make a scene so very jarring to the sufferer...
it almost hurts
and
going indoors
pulling the blinds and turning off all stimulus
is the only peace.
 Blurriness, dizziness, drowsiness
are but  a few symptoms that often accompany
causing setbacks as one stumbles through the day.
Coming through the symptoms
and
appearing on the other side
finds most people
fatigued and exhausted.
You see my Daddy Jim
has experienced all this and more
in 2008 when he fell skating on a frozen lake nearby.
Life changed for him
and Ron
and me.
with so many athletes coming forward.
The way of discussing and understanding
them has changed and hopefully
will save someone
maybe someone you know.
Jimbo, My Daddio.....
waiting patiently for the perfect shot, capture, photo
Daddy Jim is a very calm and pensive photographer.
 Always looking for the unusual angle
while I look down
he surveys his surroundings
and
locates something high above.
 Combing the beaches for sea glass one early morning
at Point Pleasant Park
you can feel the calmness
which envelopes him and me.
 The energy of the exhilarating waves
along with a good cup of
China Green Tips Tea
is all he needs in the search for the perfect photo
this day at Martinique Beach.
Staring at him most often elicits a fast throw, a quick moment of sea glass hounding,
and the chance to capture another unusual photo.
Even me cocking my head grabs his attention
and he soothes or calms me down.
 My needs are not many
but I know I need
to walk between my guys
better safe than not, right!
And as you read here....
I feel most complete as my 'doodleself'
when listening carefully and taking a moment
for my Daddy Jimbo.
