SEAMIST ~~~ MINUS 18 CELSIUS

The ocean was covered with these tendrils of SEAMIST
reaching for the heavens this morning.

Sometimes a girl has to take a moment
with a well-hidden Mr. Orangie
even if the nature is providing
an eye-stopping vista just behind me.

Ripple after ripple slipped into the shore
carrying wafts of SEAMIST onto the rocks.

I was so intrigued with the soft mist billowing up as I scooted along the rocks.

We jumped into the car and headed back home
passed this view above of the SEAMIST on Stony Beach.
If the temperature was only more bearable
a very uncomfortable minus 18 C (0.4 F)
with an added windchill factor
bringing the temperature to minus 28 C !
Oye!!!

A couple hours later we all jumped into  the car
to head for the city to go to lunch with some friends.
You can see the SEAMIST hugging the base of the bridge upright
and the harbour shoreline.

Snooze-Fest was in full swing for me though.
This kind of cold is just inhuman
and
downright DOODLE NONSENSE!

  1. Stay warm, Sophie. Is the big snowstorm headed your way? Every time I see your photo, Sophie, I miss The Hurricane's Doodle, Emma. She was so cuddly and so much fun, just like you.

    Love,

    1. I thought so too, Debra ~~~ we had some last year and I put some pictures up and then there it was again this year.

It has to be the right combination of temps in the water and air!

  13. Hey Birthday Boy! I woke up this morning remembering it was your birthday! And Tolkien's! And that you had a blizzard heading your way! We have sunshine and warmth here temporarily. It's going to be much colder tomorrow. You'll have to let me know how it feels to be old enough for that old Beatle song. I've got about 2 1/2 months to prepare! LOL Have a wonderful day ~ and all the best in the coming year of you! Stay safe and warm!

    1. It is very very very snowy and windy today all day!

Sophie doesn't want to go out. I just tricked her and she did finally go for a pee break. SHe had me up 2X last night. I think she ate some seaweed (major NO NO) because she always throws it up in the middle of the night. She is so fast when she's on the beach even if it friggin' cold out. Then she looks at me with those eyes and I melt. Oh the life of a Doodle Owner.

I just heard the plow go by ~~ YAY!!

It's a start for the onslaught of shovel mania tomorrow. Sore backs for sure. I have to be careful because I'm 64 now(did you know that?) just teasing!!

Hope you are doing fine with your exercise regime and that all's well in your world!

    2. I'm replying here, Ron ~ since I see my sister's comment! Today it is cold, snowy, but still. I tramped around trying to find our buried newspaper, but couldn't. So now I'm downstairs catching up on the Y&R ~ Chadam just decided to get remarried! Yeah! I'm so rooting for Adam! And Victor has just confirmed that Adam killed Delia ~ which I am still angry that the Y&R killed here off. I've been watching this show for over 40 years! Yikes!!!! Two more to go before Terry takes over the TV for football! At least I'm not 30 episodes behind like I was before Christmas! Take care shoveling, my friends! Gracie balks at going out in the cold, cold too! She squats about two feet from the door and races back in!

Hey Sis! Happy New Year! I'm already daydreaming about our Nova Scotian trip next summer. And I just heard from Elsie who lives in Lunenburg!!!!! Luv U!!!!!

    4. Head's Up LouLouDoodle ~~~ Y & R gossip ~~~ Adam was fired!!!!! It's all over the internet. Many people are fighting to get him back!!!

    5. NOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't know! Terry kept telling me someone was leaving, and I thought it was Billy. I'm getting might ticked off with the Y&R. They let Billy Miller get way, The previous Abby. Ashley. And the show doesn't seem to give the legacy actors anything good. I'm not interested in Stitch and Kelly and, and, and nearly as much as I am with the Abbots and Newmans. Rant! Rant! Rant! Whine! Whine! Whine! But I'm 40 years in now. They better shape the show up! Thanks for warning me!

I'm so happy you get some solace from my pictures. I try to share what inspires me and with Sophie's bent on life I just love the teeter tooter mix that can result.
