Foggy Doggy Evening

A pleasant reprieve from the sweltering hot temps
was welcomed the other night when we hopped into the car
and skipped down to the boardwalk
at L'Town Beach.

Jim and Sophie were here earlier today
and the place was a mad house
of sunbathers and surfers...
amazing how a wee bit of fog
can send them all scurrying to their cars and home.

Enjoy....!

The fog isn't going to scare us off....evah!

(but something and someone hiding behind
a board partition could have been mighty scary)

Sauntering in the City

 Our city is alive right now
with tourists, vendors, and an extensive
canopied tree cover.
With Jim approaching me gingerly
carrying
my portable water bowl....

 I can pant and feel more refreshed after walking around
our Public Gardens.

 You see I'm not allowed inside these Gardens
because of a city by-law
which I do respect.

All that Victorian Garden beauty wouldn't
look like this if I and a zillion other doggies were
permitted entrance...you know what we'd do!

 So casing the joint involves
walking the perimeter
which we do a couple of times
just so we can get some exercise
and see some of the city sites!

like this statue of
Sir Walter Scott
I feel so dignified now....!

 Across the street from the Public Gardens,
this very cool
(due to the trees and layout)
walkway and park
permits my kind....

 so Jim and I sit close to the fountain
waiting for a bit of the spray
to waft over and cool us off...
and
guess what
it does.

Always!

Warm Winds

Warm winds and sunshine
always help to boost and bolster
anyone's psyche.

Sitting on MacDonald Hill,
letting the mind rest  in peace and contentment.

(slight pixelation in the video...
sorry about that
otherwise enjoy our evening respite)

Peace and Quiet

Time for some
~~~Quiet~~~
every now and again,
the apt moment
appears
from around a corner,
down passed a bend,
near a river bed,
above us,
and below us.
Slicing into the water,
snatching the object
in your mind's eye...
Following the ripples
no matter how small
or large...
Peace is
ever present
just listen
and
feel it
FREE and Easy Compost!
Firstly...sorry to disappoint all those
looking for FREE food...
 But if you want some FREE ingredients
for your compost
then listen up.....!
 Yes, Starbuck's gives away their used grounds,
neatly packaged in these sturdy bags
and as I already said
"at no cost"
They may as well give it away
as toss it out!
I sniff each bag to make sure it passes inspection,
then Ron and Jim pour the contents
into the compost preparation area
on the other side of the property.
You'll see some of Jim's hard work
in the beginning stages of this year's compost area.
Since we started retrieving these bags,
I'd say the guys have picked up over 50+ of them.
Last year we did the same thing
and this year's
compost was like
black gold....!
Full Buck Moon!
 So over the hill Ron and I sauntered....
and down below was our beach
~~~Lawrencetown Beach~~~
so very calm today
with only a few waves pounding the shoreline.
The houses to the right have a large rock
buffer between them and the ocean....
Don't think I would want to live there
for love nor money!

 Down a small path on top of the jut of land
we crept to the edge of the cliff
and I was told to be super careful.
I have a tendency to get silly with heights...
dropping my ball and trying to retrieve it....
not a good idea
this high up from the water's edge.

Just to give you some perspective....

So, do you see the Full Buck Moon
just rising over the second point of land?
Well, we were standing at the end of the 1st point of land
in the two pictures above.

Psst: Learned about the 'Full Buck Moon' just last week
from a fellow Fber.....
apparently each month has a name for each Full Moon!
Now that 's cool!

So I hope the anticipation was worth waiting for...

Next time I'll show you
what we got for
FREE
from a coffee establishment!

Always a Surprise with Ron!

 OK, so the other day
Ron took me for an afternoon trek
to the grassy dunes at the beach...

 this small area is nestled within the grassy dunes
and I like to catch ball here
because it's free from rocks and twigs that
can do a number on my toenails and feet.
 Safety from injury makes a good run so much more fun and enjoyable
for all concerned.
 Hey, Ron...what are you saying?
We are going...where?

 One more dive into the grasses and I'm ready
to head to a familiar place!
 We are going up there?
I can see the path winding up the slope.
Gees this is such a treat.
I love taking this on.
So here we go heading up

 heading straight up

What's over there?
Check us out the next time!
