Unexpected Pleasure!

Today we got an unexpected visit from Jim's aunt Annabel
and cousin Cathy!
They arrived with lobster sandwiches for the humans which I thought was pretty cool,
since Bluenosers are known for their love of lobsters.

I was more interested in dive-bombing Cathy with a nose to nose confrontation of massive licks.
With my new flowing locks sheared, she was more than a willing participant.

Aunt Annabel enjoyed the sandwiches and tea.
She retired into the living room with everyone
and began leafing through a photo album of  relatives
who lives in Redlands, California.
I thought it only dog appropriate to "nuzzle" her and give her a few licks.
You never know
she may have a few treats hidden up her sleeves,
just like Grandpa!

Like any family get-together,
lots of questions about who's who and what are they doing now.

These two always have a great ol' time when they see each other.
I really enjoy them because they sneak treats to me
and drop food on the floor every once in awhile...goldmine, I tell you!

I wanted to thank Cathy for bringing Aunt Annabel over to visit Grandpa Jim.
So, I snorked her again.
She fully accepted and she finished her tea.
Word has it we will be visiting them soon
for baked beans and fish cakes.
Now that should be another goldmine of treats!

Blue Blue Skies!

The skies are blue today.
So blue...!
Azure blue
Cerulean blue
Prussian blue
Cobalt blue
Ultramarine blue
Azurite blue
Lapis lazuli
Azzurro
When the skies display this wondrous shade,
I get so excited and we head for the grassy dunes
along the beach.

As you can see my energy levels are mighty active.
The springlike temps certainly can be a contributing factor.
I was very much interested in who was taking my pictures today.
Who else?
 Ron (in blue)
dressed for coolness(as in brrr)
snappin' my photos like a fool!

"Presto Chango"!

I was just sitting calmly on my perch looking out the window,
when all of the sudden...
#@$#%^&.......things started spinning.......@#$%^&!!!!!
*&$%^$#......was I going somewhere in my mind!?......@#$%%^?
Nah!
It was that time again,
I was transported to my favorite place
and
"Presto Chango"
I had a haircut
 feeling lighter and more streamline.

A much needed rest was welcomed
after that out-of-mind experience.

'Manual Mode' Guinea Pig!

Today the guys informed me that I was going to become a guinea pig!
Huh?
I'm a Labradoodle!

The springlike weather, temps and sunshine were driving the people to the beaches.
Just across the river from me this family and dogs
were looking like the decision to come to the beach was
the right one...serenity.

The ball was thrown as far out as possible which is what I like
'cause that means I can run and get wet!

As I retrieve the ball I notice people and puppies
on my side of the river and beach.

Bob, the Golden Retriever was beyond himself with energy
not to mention the Border Collie, whose name I missed.

This fine fellow, Kody the Weimaraner
was bit timid but I know if I spent some time
with him he'd be socialized just like the rest of us.

I wondered a few times about
the guinea pig reference
as I prepared to rocket up to catch my ball.

Apparently, the guys are shooting everything in Manual Mode today.
Thus, a guinea pig was needed
and since I have 4 legs
I fit the billing.

Lumpy Bumps!

Sometimes, when we descend upon the beach
we discover some unusual (to me)
things that just defy my imagination.
Now, what is this huge thing
plunked on the beach at the further end?

Jim seems to be zeroing in on another huge monstrosity.
He used these photos for a post just the other day.(click to see)

This kind of mystery just intensifies my sniffing,
'cause I just can't seem to figure out how they got on the beach.

See what's ahead of us!
Those big lumps and bumps in the water.
Just a minute,
I dropped my ball!

Hey, it just dawned on me,
I think those lumpy bumps are coming from the ocean
or at least,
the ocean is making them visible.

This beach is really so much fun.
I know the next time I go,
either the lumpy bumps will be super visible
or they will be covered over with water.

Scrubs Labradoodle!

Couldn't resist!
Even if you've never heard of Scrubs,
just hearing the word
sends me into "doodle" city!

Anything Labradoodle needs to be brought to everyone's attention!
