MARTINIQUE BEACH TREK

I love to visit Martinique Beach in the dead of winter no less.
Yes, it's cold, freezing, chilly but down-right exhilarating!
(I'm pretending to be a hieroglyph in this picture.
Do you think it works?)

 Da lum Da lum
Da lum Da lum
this is my inner sound
as I begin my gallop down the beach.

Now you know why I am so focussed
and why this beach rates super high on my list of faves.

After traversing a huge rock outcrop the smooth beach becomes evident
and that only means more Mr. Orangie chasing.
Hello, guys....um...could your hurry it up!?!

 Yes, now you believe me don't you.
Huge rock outcrop covered in frozen ice, salty ice I might add.
Treacherous I might hasten to point out!

But here is my Martinique Beach.
Oh yes, I do covet this place and if any one shows up
I make sure they obey the rules,
Mother Nature's rules.

Since we are the only warm blooded bodies
daring to walk the beach
I figure Mr. Orangie needs a work out.

First catch on the beach,
I circle around for more.

I do stretch out when I run
now you can see my luxurious chocolate coat
with blond accents.
(Thank you DNA)

Number 2 catch
floating in the air too!
(Imagine if we could fly)

Number 3 ~~ straight up!
Eye ~ Nose ~ Mr. Orangie

OK, enough play ~~ let's get down to some serious walking and sea glass searching.

This pebbled area is always a goldmine in sea glass.

I told you that they would find some glass.
I did hear them muttering about not finding any cobalt blue, red or orange today at all.

Oh well, each to their own as I always say.
It takes all kinds to make our beautiful world go 'round
and whether it be humans seeking for pieces of broken glass
or me staring down Mr. Orangie ~~
Life is Good!!

SURPRISE!

Here's my SURPRISE
I was talking about!

A 3 month old Miniature Poodle
full of beans and Poodle Poop!

Ha Ha Ha!

We had a sniffing ball of fun
leaning on Ron
and
tearing around all the peeps.

The things one has to put up with
when one is so much fun, I guess!

CLEAR AND EVER PRESENT !!

Do you see what I'm alluding to?
It's ever present!
It's upright!
It's ~~~

my tail!

Everyone can see me coming a mile a way!

Even when I feel like making SPEED
when someone is taking pictures of me
or not of me!

Cold freezing winter doesn't bother me in the least.
I'll flip over with my 4 legs to the heavens
and scratch my Doodle Back until the cows come home.

Whenever Jim decides to take pictures
I finish up my back scratches ~~~

and fall in beside him
following him onto the next surprise!
~~~
You'll see on my next post!
'KINKY' BOOTIES
For those of you familiar with the movie "Kinky Boots"
well, I am proud to say I have my own set
but they are PURPLE!
YAY!!
PURPLE for the world to see!
Guess what?
 They work well and keep my feet super dry.
I even slide around in them so very easily.
Watch me Doodle terrorize Mr. Orangie
on the cliff over looking the water
at Point Pleasant Park.
Once I got that out of my system,
I headed down the path coming nose to nose with this cutie.
He didn't even notice my foot wear.
Imagine that.
This sweet lady wanted to dance with me.
She had a huge and I mean humongous, Great Dane ~~
See what I mean!
Again not interested in my footwear!!
All these friends completed their obligatory sniff
and 360 circle around me.
Purple Booties, don't you even see them?
Oh well, this was a successful walk through the snow laden woods and trails
because I protected my feet and kept them dry ~~~
free from ice balls and three legged hops.
So if anybody is wondering about the Purple Booties
and want to try them out ~~
I say go for it!!
MORNING AFTER THE BLIZZARD
After spending all day Friday Jan 3rd hunkered down
listening to the wild winds and watching the snow dumping from the skies,
we awoke to a bright, crisp and clear morning.
I had to investigate my world
so have a look see!
Speeding around at a million miles an hour
sounded pretty good to me.
Ducking passed Ron at lightening speed
galloping and leaping
with my nose to the ground.
Then ~~ it hit!
Paw Freeze Up!
One paw at a time.
Quick, back to the house
as fast as a bunny.
Hey Ron, how do you like my face now
and
let me tell you about this paw!
After a bit of a Paw Freeze Thaw,
I'll be out there again.
Bet your Sweet Bippy!!
SEAMIST ~~~ MINUS 18 CELSIUS
The ocean was covered with these tendrils of SEAMIST
reaching for the heavens this morning.
Sometimes a girl has to take a moment
with a well-hidden Mr. Orangie
even if the nature is providing
an eye-stopping vista just behind me.
Ripple after ripple slipped into the shore
carrying wafts of SEAMIST onto the rocks.
 I was so intrigued with the soft mist billowing up as I scooted along the rocks.
We jumped into the car and headed back home
passed this view above of the SEAMIST on Stony Beach.
If the temperature was only more bearable
a very uncomfortable minus 18 C (0.4 F)
with an added windchill factor
bringing the temperature to minus 28 C !
Oye!!!
A couple hours later we all jumped into  the car
to head for the city to go to lunch with some friends.
You can see the SEAMIST hugging the base of the bridge upright
and the harbour shoreline.
Snooze-Fest was in full swing for me though.
This kind of cold is just inhuman
and
downright DOODLE NONSENSE!
HAPPY NEW YEARS 2014!!
I know "it's" here somewhere
perhaps hiding under this snowflake
or blanket of snowflakes.
On the air I feel it's over in this direction.
~~ Covered over with another layer of frosty-man crystals  ~~
 My evergreens are holding up bunches of snowflakes
all kinds nestled softly on the needles
the limbs
and
the whole tree.
See I found  "it"
a TWINKLE in my WORLD
a SNOWFLAKE TWINKLE
wishing everyone
a JOYOUS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
~~~
A TWINKLE DOODLE NEW YEAR FOR ALL OF YOU!
