'Long' way to the Chickenburger!

Off to the South Shore of  Nova Scotia yesterday on a day trip hunting for sea glass and sand beaches...we went to our recent favourite beach to snag some 'finds' but couldn't because families had descended onto the beach and we knew 'us' 4 legged creatures would want to join everyone of them...that would have been very interesting...sand and water on all. So we headed down the road to Bayswater and even though the sign said "All Animals Must Be On Leash' we found a secluded area away from the nearest human and had a 'ball' litterly lol...

running,chasing,splashing and rolling...comes wit the territory.....

When we had enough, or at least the humans had enough....into the car and around the peninsula to a very picturesque part of the trip...

As our stomachs rule our minds,we figured we should head back to urban life because hunger was setting in....so off we sped....

Finally we reached the all important watering hole 'The Chickenburger Restaurant' which if you saw the movie

well you saw the restaurant. Jason Priestley and John Hurt were in town and I can't believe it was 14 years ago, 1996.

I told DR to snap a creative shot(or whatever) as we waited for the food to arrive...

Do you see me peeping through the seat belt above Clancey's head...mighty creative,eh!

Back to the Cranberry Bog ...... :-)

How come I stink so? Oh it must be the bog which hasn't seen fresh water since last year. Oh well....keep turning Clancey.

Hey Ho All....we're heading home.

After a short shower/bath I smell like heaven again.....Momma would be so proud of me. She may be enjoying New York City, that's fine but at least I certainly know the country life is for me....:-)

Clancey's here again!

Hi All,

I changed 'up' my blog page layout...what fun...so much to choose from....I'm always open to trying new and different color schemes.

So....Clancey arrived today for a longer visit....Momma Liz went to NYC for a few days...she'll have a blast of a time, I just know but in the meantime Clancey and I are going to live it up.....as the saying goes...when the cats away the mice shall play.

We arrived at the beach to find the sand all washed out into the waves. We proceeded walking along the rock strewn coast.

Part way down we discovered a cranberry bog which beckoned....come in...so we listened and jumped in....

So this is what you do Clancey...come on...now...

After shaking and rubbing the sand all over us, we headed to the boardwalk and the car...

The drive home didn't take long but guess what....? we slept....mmmm!

Dogs galore today!!!!!!

Today the rain stopped around noon so we headed for Point Pleasant Park which is my sanctuary ....as in a Garden of Eden(for dogs). I waited while the daddies stuffed their faces for energy to walk the trails. The sun was so welcomed with a temperature of 17 degrees C...I found all my ponds and christened them....aah! Through the park are these green benches which I only sniff but DR decided to take a break and wait for photog guy DJ to catch up....

around the corner he comes and off we trudged....

and from out of the blue comes this 

"vision of muttness"

a cross between a Bouvier and Labrador Retriever....

He's 8 years old and he had such a nice disposition(too bad I'm fixed...that's all I can say)....

A Vizsla joined in and the 3 of us just milked the moment....

....as you can see I got it from both ends and....oh...what can I say...the owner must have treats hidden somewhere on her person...

I just had to show the 2 cuties riding ahead of us on the trip home....now just check this out....

oh oh s/he's looking...

Now, isn't s/he the cutest! His buddy had his head out the other window and in the front so missed out on all the action...too bad, so sad!

morning walk....fresh!

The morning sky was clear and sun shone crystal clear, so I figured it was time to go for a walk on the beach. Come on guys, up and at 'em....I know we'll have a good time...

OK here we go...

Sometimes DJ and DR just lag behind so I make sure they aren't hiding and round them up.

I find the hidden tracks. After figuring out who is who, I proceed confidently....

Since my sniffer is top notch I turn and head straight for DJ.

He is finishing up his Qi Gong routine to calm his energy and put everything in order for the day.....I usually dig a hole at this point (phew)....

I turn....seeing surfers down the beach....let's check this out

If only I could get closer...

This yellow surfer board girl is my kind...come on, come on, come in closer....Ah I tried, then my daddies said we should get back home for breakfast.....sure enough that's all I need to hear....food!

The 3 Mouseketeers head home for their favourite meal!!!!

While it rains.....I dream

As the clouds roll in I sleep and dream of what I could be doing when the sun comes out...

....running like crazy with my fave ball...looks like Drake, the choc. lab has his fave chewy too
