Satisfaction in the 1st Degree!

My sniffer is pretty good,
if you hadn't noticed.

When I have something on my  mind...

I search the garden in all the most logical places....

particularly in and near the wine barrels....

high up at the tippy, tippy top....

low down at the perfect sniffer nose level...

1/2 way up,
just out of reach

I find my favourite scarlet runner beans,
waiting for some munching time.

Satisfaction in the 1st degee!

  1. We know you have a good sniffer because you can find that ball in all that water.

    Beans sound good...we love beans.

  3. You have a most expressive gaze of satisfaction. It must be the aftermath of the meal of beans. Nature sure is nurture:)

  5. Seamus (the famous beagle) can completely relate to the good sniffer. He exemplifies the saying "a beagle is a nose with legs." (Love the new blog look by the way!)

  6. Pretty cute, Miss Sophie.

With that good sniffer, you would make a great search and rescue dog.

  7. Lucky Sophie! Fresh beans for you. Many dogs forget to sniff high. I used to do search and rescue with my dog, and we had to teach her to sniff for things hanging in trees. Looking up didn't come naturally to her.

It still looks so green there! Aren't you pretty far north? I guess that the ocean effect outweighs the northern effect...

    Beautiful photos, as always!
