MY ANGEL of the WOODS

Caught your eye again, 

I see

Come along and let me show you my discovery ~

Since I have my nose to the ground 95% of the time

 I almost missed this beauty of a gem
hanging in the trees recently

 fluttering as the breezes slipped passed

She is my ANGEL of the WOODS
and
she brings me
much joy!

SNOW SQUALLS

As soon as I get out of the car

I begin to run and run

find a stick

(because Mr. Orangie is hibernating right now)

then the snow squalls begin ~

blustering ice flakes and crystals

everywhere

softening the landscape

for as far as the eye can see

runners and walkers 

pay no attention

the winds are relentless along the rocky beach area

even the old fortress can not escape 

Mother Nature's eroding onslaught

no picnics today at the park

some Doodles enjoy and some not-so-much

these February snow squalls.

I for one am in total favour of them.

They perk you up instantly

and

let you know that you are alive.

Then as quickly as they came

they are gone in a flash.

WINTER BLUES & WHITES

Daddy Ron let me out of the car

as he peered through the frosty windshield 

at the boardwalk 

He tries to keep up!

But I am a LADY DOODLE on a mission.

I know what I have to do

and

veering off the snow covered walkway

into the deeper snow

affords me more chances of finding 

delicacies.

No luck 

so up and over the walkway

onto the beach itself

surely should connect me with just one small tiny morsel

alas all my seaweed treats are covered up

not visible and not even allowing my nose to detect

where they might be hiding

in all these 

"blues and whites"

Yes, yours truly has reached the age of 10!

This day

 10 years ago I was born

however I hadn't chosen

my guys yet.

They had to wait for 8 weeks

before I found them.

Then another week of legal 

"Mumbo Doodle Jumbo"!

~

They would visit me every day 

for that last week

before scooping me up

and

driving me home

to

my new life.

~

Did I ever tell you 

that I consider myself

to be one of the luckiest

"Doodles in DoodlesVille".

ROCKS OF KINDNESS

I insisted that we should go for a walk the other day.

I knew for some uncanny reason

that my decision

would be fruitful

and 

most of all

good for the soul.

and most of all

these 2 words

(after flipping over this rock)

They can only give us 

HOPE.

MY HAPPY PLACE

Yes this is my HAPPY PLACE!

Over there on the hill is MacDonald House

where my Daddy Jim works

2 days a week.

~

On this side of the river

is a beach 

which takes a while to reach by sand or through woods.

~

No matter!

After a couple years

of not visiting

we decided to trek our way to this spot.

~

Needless to say 

I was over the Doodle Moon!

~

I hopped

I ran

I ate seaweed

I ate anything I got my paws on.

~

HAPPY 2017 EVERYONE!!

I discovered a new, soft, cuddly, squeaky friend in my house over the holidays.

One never knows what to expect with varmints ~

So, a quick sniff and shake just to let him know who's boss in these parts.

And everything is just fine, more than fine because Mr. Buster

is so soft and so obedient.

What more could a Doodle ask for anyhoo!!
