Water Works!

After my Dads had brunch at Jane's on the Commons,
we headed across the street to see this water show in the central part of the Commons.
You will notice I'm on my leash otherwise I'd find away inside there and cool off.
Can't you see the look on my face that I meant business.
The place was a photographer's haven, all taking pictures of these shoots of water.
You can capture some unusual designs and shapes with the water leaping at different levels.
But, the part I enjoyed the most
was
Ron whispering
sweet nothing's into my ear.

Later that day!

So....later that day on the other side of the river...
These parasurfers were taking advantage of the winds and waves.
Up and down the river for some....
I never can figure out why there ropes don't get tangled.
No way that I could catch up these guys!
Some of them were even flying!
This fellow was just entering the water.
So impressive when they are in unison.
I figured I was better off soaking up the rays along the side of the river.

Now I know summer is coming with all these parasurfers eating up the water!

Yeah....the sun is shining for a whole day!

What a fantastic day we are having!
The sun is brillant, the beach is all ours and I can run forever.
Grabbing Mr. Orangie is my specialty and
guess what, I'm not totally destroying the ball with every catch.
Today is the perfect day to rejuvenate the mind and soul...
after a long, wet month of May.
Even a horse took advantage of the low tide.
Sniffing the tracks was so easy 'cos they were so visible.
What you are witnessing is a first with Jim testing the water so early in the season.
The water is mighty chilly and won't warm up until late July...
this fact doesn't bother me in the least
since I am a magnet to water and really don't feel the temperature.

The ocean is here, somewhere!

I promised you that we'd go for a swim at the beach, didn't I!
Turn around and you'll see the ocean.....!
You'll never have a swim if you obsess over Mr. Orangie!
OK, then, go get 'em Tiger!
 NOW....your happy.....right!
 Who's that...way down the beach?
It must be Jim looking for sea glass.
Go and see what he's found.

The Sun Shone!

The other evening as we readied for supper, look what came streaming in the window!
Now the magnolias can open up....
The bloodgood maples leaves can glow in the evening sky...
and I can check out the nursery beds for coffee grinds to eat...love me my grinds!
See...there they are...all dark and smelling good!
This is between you and me,
cos I get shewed away every time I start devouring them.
 Still following me I hope...
this is a miniature hosta growing on a rock
with a clematis entwined on the wrought iron rail.
Cool colour, eh!
This path leads me back to the house where I can sit and look out the window again.
Anytime of day you'll find me here in the side window
checking out the vet's visitors.
Today was special because no one was wet,
just drenched in the sun's rays!

t'other side......! cont'd

 OK...you twisted my arm paw...!
I'll show you!
Here's Jim walking down the path which I already swooped down sec's earlier!
Looks like someone is heading out, even if it's foggy.
Here's a tiny little beach we found last year hidden in the park and rarely used...
 except for us now!
Finally, I was able to dunk myself with Mr. Orangie.
With all those boats over there and a new house being built...I had this whole area to myself.
Fine with me....this is my secret and now it's yours!
Psst...the guys go snakey over blue sea glass...even big one's like this!
Up the hill and heading toward the car...this view is to the left and
this view is to the right....look who's calm now...
and sleeping like a log all night.
Hope you liked our short sojourn to "t'other side" of the park.
I'll take you there, again, when the sun is shining
and it is actually doing that right now...finally!!!
