Over the Dunes...Come Along!

Hi Everyone!

It's a beautiful sunny afternoon,
so we jumped into the car
and
headed to the beach.

~~~
Come along with us
and
enjoy a jaunt over the dunes
which have gotten smaller
from the winter
seas and winds.
I am always the first one
to reach the end of the path
and
without any hesitation
over I go.
Waiting on the other side,
after a long winter
and
wet spring,
you will see something
familiar.
See, didn't I tell you!
Para-surfers again, from another angle...
Only this time on the other side of the river.
There's no fog like the other day (click and see the difference)....
just brilliant skies and whitecaps.
The colours are so cheerful and just make you feel good inside.
I had a great time
running and fetching Mr. Orangie(by the way)
and
my saunter back to the car with Jim
was the icing on the cake.
Sit~~~~Stay!
All of the sudden...
in the middle of a great walk...
the ol' sit~~~stay
is pulled on me...
without even the slightest hint of when!
Guess, who passed with flying colours?!
Feeling the Wind!
This view from the hill always makes me feel giddy!
The parasurfers look like they getting the 'hang',
or at least,
the feel of the winds.
I'll keep exercising while they figure out what they are going to do.
Looks like the wind is really getting stronger.
Look at the angle of that person.
I know I got the feel of the winds.
and if you ever want to feel it,
just let me know.
Garden Wandering~~~~
HayLo, There!
(love this contorted face look)
Just wandering around the garden as usual.
How do you like our boxwood hedge?
It's growing gangbusters
and Ron is always pruning it.
He wanted to show you the new shoots popping out on
the Dawn Redwood,
and the Larix Kaempferi
or
Japanese Larch
so delicate!
Even last year's seedhead of  a clematis
grabs your attention.
Sitting pensively near my pool in front of the Japanese Maples,
I wonder sometimes when someone is going to come and play.
I always survey the vet's place next door,
'cause there is always a chance
that an unsuspecting 4 legged
might see me.
Then, I'll turn on my "Let's Play" radar.
No luck yet, but that isn't going to stop me.
It's here, somewhere!
Hey!
 Have you seen my "fave" stick?
It's here in the garden,
'cause I left it here.
I checked under the Johnny Jump Ups.
Nope, nothing in sight!
So if I sit in the middle of the nursery beds,
I bet I'll see it for sure.
The rhubarb is not quite my idea of a stick.
It's great cooked down with some brown sugar though.
OH!
SO YOU HAD IT, DAD!
I LOVE APPLE WOOD TO GNAW ON EVERY NOW AGAIN!
and I know where there's more
'cause Dad pruned the apple tree!
Sanguinaira Canadensis!
Underneath the staked Dawn Redwood tree
...every spring at this time...
 you will locate the Bloodroot.
The delicate petals are a marvel to behold
And the excitement of watching them multiply every spring just warms the heart.
I am very careful with the beauties,
because they only last for a couple days in good weather.
So this is my little patch of Sanguinaira Canadensis!
It puts a smile on my blond tipped snout!
Pink is my Colour!
Fate, as it were, had an unexpected view for me on the hill.
With strong winds and the incoming tide,
it provided ideal windsurfing conditions.
The fog seemed to illuminate the pinkness.
So I gazed at the  windsurfer as he whizzed by
doing his flips and turns
From my vantage point
they appeared to know what they were doing.
Little did they know that I knew what I was doing as well,
since I found something delicious to munch on
...not telling!
