MY ZEN

Comments closed for the time being.
Time for reflection.
Best to all.

Focussed
Calm
Meditative

The fog and woods help with my need to be at one
with nature and myself
at anytime
Hope this finds you in your place of serenity.

♫♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸ SOPHIE MAMBO TIME ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♫♪

Summertime and the lovin' is easy-goin'

zenning out at the beach

as I slip through the sparkles

I turn my head

zooming swiftly to the shore

charging and dripping onto the land

with my ears held high

life is like this moment now

then sometimes the rhythm of another beat

takes over my mind

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ♥ DADDY JIM

whether on the beach at low tide

or strolling along a new section of the Atlantic View Trail

or gathering debris from the beaches

or bundling up to capture nature's roar
of waves
at Martinique Beach

or sifting through the heathers at Point Pleasant Park

or slipping across the parking lot
to capture the egret that
took up residence in our area this spring

to checking out the garden before the greenery
multiplies like mad
(as it it did this year)

to an end of the evening stroll in the mist

to assisting Jim with some photos
as the sun was setting on the hill

I wish Daddy Jim the
Happiest of Birthdays.
He has been so kind to me
and
may I add to anyone who crosses his path.
You are the best Doggy Daddy around
and
I couldn't imagine anything better
than your soft touch and big smile.

So without further ado ~~
presents need to be opened.

CANADA DAY, EH .¸¸♥¸¸.•*¨*•♫♫♪

The city and country
are celebrating
our 150th birthday today.

The red flag is everywhere
even arm and arm
with a city flag.

Double Reflections captured the flags
in these nearby windows

also sharing a moment
with bouquets of flowers

and sitting high
on the mast of this ship in foreground
as a myriad of vessels
ply the waters or are docked in the harbour.

OVER THE GRANITE EXPANSE ~~

While climbing gingerly over the rocks
one foot at a time
finding new spring growth
flowers
many flowers
as I lift my head
over the granite expanse
and
the pool of sheer glass water
I see
sitting side by side
these two
such love and peace
this day

GOING DOWN THE ROAD

Seriously getting out on the road
really opens your eyes
to new and fresh
views
so put on your caps
and
allow me ~~

in the middle of the province
on roads just off the main drag of everyday life
I found these homes, abodes and four legged creatures

old weathered barn wood
in many forms
from actual buildings to farm carts

to seeing the age and weather worn stories behind these beauties

sensing the speed of the moment
in this moment of calm

wondering who built this building
fitting perfectly into the setting

remembering the adage
that when cows lay down
that the weather will become rainy or at least cloudy

half way there to either rain or sun

horses many of them feeding in delight
transfixed on this moment

a quick dash across the road in front of us
'a deer'

and
'going down the road'
as literal as
can be expected

I include this 2011 trailer of a sequel to the original 1970 movie
called "Going Down The Road"
~
thanks for indulging my trip today
Cheers as always.

THE MERRY MONTH OF MAY

My "1/2 cup full" philos'
has been on full speed ahead
over the passed couple of weeks.
With a smile and Mr. Orangie
in tow ~

allow me to introduce Harley
my very young companion
and
Mr. Orangie filcher
(that is a word right ~
click the yellow word!?!)
Nothing but good energy here 😍!!!

The sand is returning to my favourite beach again.
It is always so soul-refreshing to inhale the salty
Atlantic Ocean
chase for Mr. Orangie
and
feel so Doodle~complete.

On an entirely different note:
Look here!
This is a Baltimore Oriole
frolicking and rollicking
in our azalea and cherry trees.
1st time seeing this beauty.
Happy Camper, indeed.

The Merry Month of May brings rain
and in this case
gazillions of droplets
covering everything insight.
This is a very very close up view of the beauty of an azalea blossom.
Enjoy!

Back to the beach again!
Fetching and swimming
helps me lose the 10 pounds
that my vet decided was necessary.
So, drum roll
I lost 7 pounds
and
I am overjoyed
and
continuing with my new diet.

This raindrop sparkle
truly helps me see life easier.

Even the wild strawberries appear joyful.
What is it about all this anyway?

Cedar waxwing Joy!
Six lovelies landed on my cherry tree
and
proceeded to eat the cherry blossoms.
They visited for a few minutes
and
swoosh
they were gone
but not before my Daddy Ron captured this beauty.

Re-acquainting our lives with a salt marsh pond along the trail
has been upper most on my walks with Daddy Ron.

When one has the trail and a backyard
full of nature
the light and shadow
just stops one in their tracks ~
just like me below!

So are you coming or not ?
😉💖🐶🐩🐵
