Queensland Beach~~~~exercise!

With the long weekend just passed....
we decided to trek down to the south shore, particularly, ~~~~~ Queensland Beach.
This normally would be semi-crowded with summer wannabees,
but Mother Nature seems to be upset this year...
by discouraging any sunbathers.
This allowed me to enjoy the whole beach without getting anybody else dirty.
The one thing I like about this place is that the ocean is available on one side of the parking lot...
and a fresh water lake is on the other side...it's a rinse pond really...get all the sand and salt out of my fur!
We drop off here when we visit just so I can rinse off...you can't tell me the guys aren't smart!
Another sit~~~stay  moment,
brought to you by the word,
HAPPY!

Bentley & Spring Fever!

Today, Monday, was a holiday in Canada, so we took a walk in the park.
I met Bentley, a six month old, Pug who was full of beans....
 and so much more
He really took a shining to me for some ginormous reason.
He kept literally tailing me from the moment he set eyes and tongue on me.
I guess he thought he was BMOC or something!
I showed him that I was boss and let him play his little "wooing" game.

Needless to say, nothing happened
other than complete exhaustion....
on both our parts,
those young ones
have sooooo much to learn!

Sauntering!

Hi Ho!
I'm just doing a saunter through my mid-spring garden.
Checking out every nook and cranny
 perky speckled violets
 stately solomon seal
red cowslips with forget me nots
hosta with lichen covered boulder
hidden hostas

white epimedium blooms
Now that everything is in order....a quick munch and then.....
into the pool for a full on splash dig....
So sorry you can't see me but I can see you...
come on in!

My Staring always gets them going~~~~~~!

Sitting by the side door to the deck,
I begin my staring regime.

Then instantly, without too much time, I'm out the door and heading for the garden.

My favourite spot of tall grass is waiting for me beside the espaliered pear tree.
While Jim focuses on a tulip, I devour my salad.

I have to keep my eye on him, just to make sure he doesn't sneak back into the house.

Are you kidding! Jim has been waiting patiently for these magnolias to bloom and

while I sniff and meander

click and see!

So you see what happens when I situate myself in the proper position for my stare fest,
I gets me my results and so does Jim!

Here we Go again!

 Sometimes

I feel like
I'm
the
Friendly
standing
way
above
those
 green
blades
of
grass.

I'm
very
focussed
right now,
as you
can
see.

suspect
there
is
something
trying
to
sneak
passed
me
and
if
it
doesn't
look
out,
I
just
might
do
this...

Take that you little varmint....!

OK, what's this over here?

Something hiding in the grass again....

keep still....hear me!

Wait...what's that...here we go again!

"Tulipa Tarda" sniffs

This is one bright and cheery tulip
 that has gotten my attention
 for the passed four springs.
The perkiness and joy they exhibit
seems to mirror my view on my everyday life.
It may sound corny but that's how I feel!
Tulipa Tarda, a species tulip that multiplies like mad and
I think you should consider for your spring garden.
You won't be disappointed with these little gems!
