This morning bright and early
Ron took me to Point Pleasant Park,
just the two of us.
I sniffed pretty much everything in sight,
but one thing sort of bothered me....
where was Jim because he is missing all this beauty?
I calmly sauntered and searched all our favourite haunts
with no luck not even a 'JimScent" was on the air.
He had to be somewhere because he was in the car when we left home.
These ladies with the cute white dogs didn't seem to know where he was either.
I guess if I sit here and look down the road maybe he'll appear....
I know I smell something in the air now...
I have a real good sniffer you know...
and I was right
here he comes!
Such a patient dog you are, Sophie! I'll bet you showed Daddy Ron where to take pictures, those are beautiful autumn shots! Love the water, rocks and colorful leaves!
ReplyDeleteLick!
Licks to you too, SJQ......how did you know that...I always tell Ron to take all his pictures...I'm the one with creative eye, you know!
DeleteWhat gorgeous foliage. I hope your autumn lasts a long while. We're supposed to get snow here in Edmonton this weekend. The kind that doesn't go away for 6 months.
ReplyDeletePoor Edmonton...always gets the white stuff...my Dads have a sister and a brother(each) living there, so have heard over the years how snow likes the big city!
DeleteWhat a beautiful morning Sophie! I'm glad Jim finally showed up. It's not the same without him, right? When we take Gracie on her nightly walk sometimes Gary will have to leave and go back home because of his 'Crohn's bathroom urgency' and Gracie will keep stopping to look back... missing him and probably wondering why he's not with us. When the threesome is split up.. it's just not the same, right?
ReplyDeleteI hear you LOUD and CLEAR, Bobbi...3somes ate meant to be 3somes....doing everything together...I do understand though when emergencies come up...take care of Daddio Gary, Gracie!!
Deletethat is our favorite beach you showed us Sophie
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
SO happy you like it...we've walked gingerly along this beach many times these passed months but with the colour it makes it that much more inviting!
DeleteI really enjoyed all these shots of your autumn beauty - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fiona...you are so kind!
DeleteIt looks so beautiful where you live, Sophie. The colours are amazing. I´am glad Jim did´nt get lost;)))))!
ReplyDeleteWe sat patiently suspecting that he would appear...and my antennae were working perfectly OK, because there he is!
DeleteNothin' gets passed your nose, Soph! That was another great walk. We're glad you didn't lose Daddy Jim.
ReplyDeleteWe wouldn't have had a calm walk. We would have been all over the place.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Scampering here and there...I can see you now...what I realized was that if it's me and 1 other human...I'm calm...add another 'anything' then I get wonky donky!
DeleteYour pix are just always lovely. We'd love to go to a place like that. All that dufussing I could do! Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
You definitely would enjoy this park Molly....I just know you would!
DeleteYou live and play in such a beautiful place, Sophie! I really appreciate your creative eye. I'm glad you found Jim.
ReplyDeleteHi HO friend....I do appreciate my fortune, my life with my guys and I hope you get a sense of my love for life. Doodles are everywhere nowadays and I think it's because they are so lovable, loyal and FULL OF ENERGY...except today though...once in awhile a girl has to saunter!!
DeleteSOphie
Your pictures are always so gorgeous! It is so beautiful where you live.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much ...we do not take our world for granted and we love sharing!
DeleteApparently humans like calm walks, confuses the heck out of me!
ReplyDeleteviolet
Humans need to be by themselves....so we furballs can play for~evah!
DeleteCan you feel the love?!? So, it's a calm walk when Jim's not there. He's just too hyper, I guess.
ReplyDeleteThe fall colors are unbelievable!
I thought about that 'fact' Mitch...but Jim is so calm all the time, unless immersed in conversation. So i think it's the 1 on 1 with Sophie that she enjoyed...I guess more of these walks might prove to be beneficial training wise!
DeleteThere is no devotion like a dogs devotion... so sweet.
ReplyDeleteSophie LOVES us....it's so evident every time we go out or just wake up in the morning.
DeleteAwwwww, that was a really cute video of Sophie waiting for Jim. And look at the colour of those leaves! Absolutely bloomin' amazing cocophany of colour.
ReplyDeleteAwesome riotness of colours...does that make sense!?
DeleteSophie?! Calm?! You must have your doodles mixed up.
ReplyDeleteIt was so strange, yet relaxing for the both of us....we started our sojourn...Sophie began sniffing and before we knew it the trek was completed and we were content....with now craziness. Does this mean Sophie is getting older or finally 'growing up'!
DeleteThat is the prettiest park all year, but that Fall foliage is a treat!
ReplyDeleteGood girl, Sophie, waiting so calmly.
She is such a sweetheart...Terry you'd love her just like you love Mitch.Sophie sits sweetly feeling super secure and just eyes everything and everyone....she loves everybody and particularly Jimbo!
DeleteYes, I would love her!
DeleteWhat beautiful fall color in these photos! I love the video - such a patient, sweet dog you are, Sophie.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat...we are soooo enjoying our autumn this year...the 1st year of super colours that have stayed around for so long!
