It's me standing in the middle
of the backyard during
a rain and wind storm
yesterday.
The snowball bush is now
all over the ground
...see all the white petals
with Miss Sophie Marple investigating.
The magnolia looks fresh and green
and I just know there's
something under the vegetation
that just shouldn't be there
...at least that's what I think!
Wetness
everywhere
can make things looks
a bit drab....
but this Allium Nectaroscordum
Surely a tropical storm named DEBBY can't be ALL bad, can it?
ReplyDeleteJumpin' Jiminey, Debra....as long she ain't a "hairycane" then she can linger off shore!! ;-) ;-)
DeleteGosh Sophie- are you dripping wet from that storm?
ReplyDeleteParts of the world sure need your rain!
love
tweedles
If I could only bottle it all up and ship to those places that are in dire need of moisture....I would if I could!
DeleteWow, what I wouldn't give to dig my snout in all of that luscious green.
ReplyDeleteDream about it as much as you can and then you'll feel like you are there doing it!
DeleteThe snowball bush snowed!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is lovely, wet or dry.
Exactly, Terry...we have so much white in the winter and then we have white petals in the summer...can't tell me WHITE isn't a fave colour around here!
DeleteAre you getting all wet back there, it sure looks lush and green
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Moist and wet...darn tootin'!
DeleteEverything looks so green and lush! We could use a bit of that rain here.
ReplyDeleteShall I do a rain dance for you?
Deletewe have had nothing but cold and rain...nobody named Debby caused it, just a guy they're calling Arctic Front! BOL Your backyard tour was great! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh Scrappy...that sounds so discouraging...bundle up and cuddle that's just as much fun too!
DeleteSophie, you don't look drab! Quite the opposite in fact.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Oh thanks...I just thought the overcast day might make me look a wee bit forlorn.
DeleteHi Sophie a bit of rain is good and we hope the weather gets back to sunshine so we can see your great beach walks.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Oh don't worry I'll be snagging a few walks on the beach pretty soon if I have anything to say about it!
DeleteThe snowball bush petals on the ground make it look like you were in a snowstorm, Sophie!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Isn't it ironic...snow in winter and snow in summer....the "snow in summer" is a plant that grows here too...all white...SURPRISE!
DeleteOh my! You really like water :). Your garden is beautiful... The rain doesn´t matter... I can see that. :D
ReplyDeleteHey Sophie you should come over: soccer today. And, booohoo Italy scored. *sniffs* ;)
I'd be there in a flash if I had wings....Italy oh oh.....I'm a water doggy inside and out!
DeleteYour garden will look even more lovely when things dry out a bit.
ReplyDeleteHi Ryker....waiting with fingers crossed!
DeleteHi Guys,

ReplyDeleteJust call Ron Artsy Fartsy...I do!!!
DeleteYour garden is so lovely and lush! You look great, even if the weather isn't.
ReplyDeleteI love everything..all the time...Is that too much to conceive...nope...not for me!
DeleteUs too Sophie-- major windstorms 2 days ago brought trees down in our yard-- what a mess!! Mother Nature has sure been busy lately!!
ReplyDeleteYou look cute even when you're wet!!
Xo
Vicki
Nothing worse than M.N. being upset...trees are so beautiful and to have them come tumbling down...just not fair. We lost 14 trees a few years back now and remnants are still visible. Take care of yourselves!
