I live in Nova Scotia!
~~~1/2 way between the North Pole and the Equator~~~
along the western side of North Atlantic.
It's the first week of Spring
and
the temps waver
up and down
around 4C(39F)
Weather wise...Snow...Crispy...Cool, not Cold...just Bearable!
So this is the way that I'm used to my world at this time of year.
Well, this year is different...so very different!
This year the temps are way out of whack!
24 degrees Celsius (75F) today,
so I went swimming tonight with Mr. Orangie
(because he floats)!
Sunset was really outta this world!
no matter from what direction
and with this view and the warm winds
blowing on us.....
it really felt like summer....
Is this another Mother Nature tease?
We've been having strange weather here in Oz, too. VERY wet and cool to warmish. Strange summer. Enjoy your good weather. You'd better get some back up Mr orangys AND whistling blues....sort of land and sea balls.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & roxy
I've seen the rainy weather conditions in Oz and hoped you weren't super effected by this wetness...the planet's weather is really acting up and I'm afraid were are going to see more unsettled conditions. You are right..about getting BALL back ups with the way Sophie goes through her loot of toys!!
DeleteWe're getting crazy weather at my house too, Sophie. Mom is praying that this doesn't mean a hotter than hot summer!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots
Mitch
That's what crossed my mind too...last year our summer was wet and I suspect this year it'll be dry...nix the humidity and I can handle the heat somewhat!
DeleteMake sure you take time to smell the roses.
ReplyDeleteWait! Are there roses yet?
m.
No roses this early even with the 75F weather...the spring bulbs are pushing through a couple weeks earlier though...nice...must capture some pix of these! R
DeleteNext week: a blizzard, LOL!
ReplyDeleteFunny you mention that...a girl at the chiro's yesterday said we were supposed to get snow on Saturday...NOOOOONNOOOOOO!
DeleteWow wow wow! The colours and light are amazing. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts!
ReplyDeleteWe are...all the windows are open and we are soaking up the summer feeling!
DeleteLovely, gorgeous, wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeleteYes, I believe we will be having some strange weather this year!
Today, we are having a cool and rainy spring day. We haven't seen "normal" for a couple weeks now.
Glad you got out for a swim! It looks luscious!
It feels luscious...we Maritimers are a hardy lot and once in awhile we need pampering!
DeleteIn other words a gorgeous day
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
PRE~~~~cisely!
DeleteSpectacular photography, as usual! So glad to see the bionic ball hasn't been forsaken.
ReplyDeleteI would never allow it to go missing...really!
DeletePS..Mitch..thanks for willing the heat over the Atlantic to our shores...much appreciated...the guys have sunburns!
DeleteWow! Send some of that my way, will you Sophie?
ReplyDeletePee Ess: Your Dad sure took some gorgeous photos!
75F+++ is coming your way...actually 80F+++ today!
DeleteLovely pictures your Dad took....but wasn´t it cold in the water? We had very warm skiing, about +13 C sunny and blue sky...Back home it was very warm today and our little ones laid outside the whole day. Tomorrow last day skiing and then back home, we long for our 4legged ones :-)
ReplyDeleteDon't you miss the 4 legged ones...they miss you too. Our temps hit 30C today..this is so unusual!
DeleteAmazing pictures of the same kind of days we are having here. I do have to admit that it makes me wonder what the real summer will bring!
ReplyDeleteExactly Kim...one thing though...this heat is dry...no humidity!!I like dry heat!
DeleteIt's really unseasonably warm here too.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous photos in this post. I love the last shot of you running, Sophie!
Sophie zipped by me as I snapped the pix and she came out kinda cool...I enjoy speed pix! 30C...here today..!
DeleteMan alive, it looks wonderful where you are! What a bloody sunset that is. And Sophie, that was the best action shot I have ever seen .... you running alongside the shore. AMAZING!!
ReplyDeleteI'm just like Dale Evans chasing after Roy Rogers...whoo hoo!
DeleteIt's crazy weather - we have snow on the ground and temps in the high 20's. That just feels wrong. Although certainly less snow now than when this heat started on Tuesday. Wasn't the water cold, Sophie?
ReplyDeleteNot bad..temp wise...the water keeps moving in and out quickly so she doesn't mind the coldness!
DeleteIncredible! We have no complaints yet of this unseasonably warm spring. 80's the last few days. It makes you wonder what we're in for.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that some of it made it your way though. We like to share
Always looking for a good sharing moment!!
DeleteSo a cold front (of sorts) is moving in? Your photos are spectacular. Thanks for checking in....do try drumming, you'll love it.
ReplyDeleteYes..that's the word...such is the life of a Maritimer in the North Atlantic! tap tap tap on my drums!
DeleteOh Sophie- look at the fun you are having in your warm spring weather!
ReplyDeleteWe got snow last night- and its trying to melt a little.
Oh I want some warm weather like you have
